Hello my name is Corey and I get to work at the Science Center of Iowa! With my trusty English and Creative Writing Degree, (go Hawks!) I like to write. I also love taking things apart and putting them back together, so I like fixing typewriters. It involves a lot of exploring and I get to learn a lot of new things while figuring out how each typewriter works. I love the hum of words written with a typewriter, it feels like you get to slingshot your ideas straight into existence with fantastic force. Typewriters are perfect for writing stories. I think storytelling and creative writing are essential to growing up and becoming your own person. It's a way you can see and communicate what you want the world to look like through your own unique experience and perspective. When you read other's words, you get to see the world through theirs.
