Bay-Net : 21st Century Amateur Radio

Bay-Net : 21st Century Amateur Radio

Bay-Net is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to public service, STEM education, and fostering the evolution of amateur radio in the 21st century.

What inspired you to make this project?:
I personally have been interested in radio since I was about 8 years old. My career and professional life are based in that life-long passion. Today's world is full of wireless devices, but increasingly few people know how they work. Bay-Net tries to bridge the Maker spirit with the traditions of amateur radio. This year's project was inspired by seeing the high level of interest in Software Defined Radio at our MFBA 2015 exhibit. We'd originally set it up as just an example of what amateur radio can do, but ended up having numerous conversations about it with attendees.
