This is a Theo Jansen, Buck minster Fuller inspired walking machine created with mostly scrap metal and surplus parts. Its powered by two electric motors and a gas powered generator. Entry is now provided via a central elevator.
What inspired you to make this project?:
This was inspired by the Mutant vehicles of Burning man. I built it for Burning man and its first public appearance was at black rock city in 2012. The mechanics and design however where inspired by Theo Jansen's linkage and Buckminster Fullers geodesic domes.
