Madeline Tasquin Hybrid Set on Rock the Bike's Pedal-Powered Stage
Maker Faire Bay Area 2024
October 18th-20th
A musical chameleon guided by capricious Muses, Madeline's voice and accompanying sounds are as unpredictable as they are captivating. One moment she's strumming a ukulele and singing en français; the next, she's conjuring ethereal soundscapes with synthesizers and cables poking out in every direction.
Her set on Rock the Bike's Pedal-Powered Stage will be a hybrid of those musical realms, from sublime vocal harmony to sequenced frogsounds; ever faithful to deep groove, regardless of the tempo.
Can you dance while simultaneously helping the 12-bike array achieve peak power through your pedalpower? Come find out at 3:30pm on Sunday on the Pedal-Powered Stage brought to you by Oakland's Rock the Bike, the global leader in pedal-powered fun and long-time Maker Faire collaborator!
Schedule
Madeline Streicek
Madeline Tasquin's genre-defying performances have been described as "a fever dream in a candy store" and "what you'd get if Kate Bush and Tom Waits had a lovechild raised by circus folk." Her favourite pastime is foraging for inspiration in unlikely places – like an abandoned piano or the rhythmic beeps of a busy Oakland crosswalk.
Rock The Bike Showcase Maker
Based in North Oakland, Rock The Bike innovates and sells event-oriented pedal powered activities including Fender Blender line of bike blenders, Off The Wall electricity generators, and more.
