The Ghost EV

Maker Faire Bay Area 2024

October 18th-20th

Coal Shed 3 Exhibit Vehicles

This is a very high efficiency electric vehicle built from the ground up. It seats two people in tandem for a very low CD (coefficient of drag) and a small cross section. The Ghost uses only 18KWh of batteries but gets 100 miles per charge in real world driving and even more on pure highway driving. This has an AC motor, regenerative braking and lithium batteries. It is street legal, registered and insured.

The body is made of an aluminum nose in the front and a wood strip for the rest. The goal was to make a modern retro design reminiscent of the 1920's Rolls Royce Silver Ghost.

Most people like fast sports cars, but I prefer highly efficient, practical designs that can be made at a low cost.
