Neil Malhotra

Neil Malhotra brings together years of aerospace and video game industry experience. Having worked on deep space missions at JPL, commercial rocket launches at Orbital, and obtaining his private pilot license, Neil has a passion for aviation and space. His degree is in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and graduate work at Caltech. Later in his career, co-founded Acclaim Games which was acquired by Playdom and served as the Skybound CTO, the creator of The Walking Dead. His new venture, vRotors, merges both aerospace technology and video gaming user experience design to enable remote robotics experiences for anyone to virtually be anywhere.

What Inspired You to Make This?

With the coincident consumer availability to consumer drones and the first Oculus VR headset, I wanted to experience being inside the drone "cockpit" in a VR experience. Once I prototyped it and shared with others, I realized that I wanted to share the experience with everyone.
