My name is Sebastian Lambrinos. I am a senior at Laguna Beach High School and an Eagle Scout in BSA Troop 35. While in the 8th grade on February 27, 2019, I made a video for a challenge at Thurston Middle School to inspire fellow students to pay it forward. In a one-minute thirty second clip set on my favorite local hiking trail, I spoke about how it feels good to help others, the ways I give back to my community, and how the possibilities are endless before I walk up the path at sunset. The video was chosen for presentation in classrooms throughout the school. A seed was planted, that pivotal moment taught me actions speak louder than words and as a kid I could create impactful change in my own backyard. As a result, I have completed over 300 community service hours, mostly towards local beach and park cleanups, habitat restoration, invasive species removal, fire prevention and trail stewardship events working with Laguna Canyon Foundation, the Irvine Outdoor Ranch Conservancy, the Nix Nature Center, and the
