Jerry Farren is a retired school teacher who taught in the Loomis School District for 30 years. Upon retirement he realized his art talent as a Sculptor. Jerry is a self taught artist. His creations focus around Historic figures and Native American cultures. Jerry enjoys researching his subjects and tries to insure that they correctly reflect the given period of time. His attention to detail is shown in each of his sculptures.

Gerald (Jerry) Farren
Self-taught sculptor, Jerry Farren was born in 1944 and raised in Santa Barbara, California. He attended local schools and graduated from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. He has lived in Rocklin for the past 50 years. Jerry and his wife, Joann, have raised four children. Having been raised in an “Old Mission” town Jerry’s interest in history and native american culture developed at a young age. While in High School, it was discovered that the family home was built on an old Chumash tribal campsite. This led to many visits to the museum and hours listening to tales of the past, told by local elders. Later while working as a Ranger for the U.S.Forest Service Jerry had the opportunity to explore many secluded ancient cave paintings and pictographs located in the Los Padres National Forest, including sites on the former President Reagan’s Rancho del Cielo.
