Carolyn Belefski
Carolyn Belefski is a professional visual communicator, cartoonist, designer, and illustrator. Carolyn writes and draws the comic strip Curls. She collaborates with writer Joe Carabeo on the comic books Black Magic Tales, French Fry Club, and The Legettes. Carolyn is currently Washington, D.C. chapter chair of National Cartoonists Society and served on the National Board of Directors. She has developed teaching experiences and speaking engagements with U.S. National Archives, Kids Love Comics, AIGA DC, Girl Scouts, and various schools. Her work has been published in USA Weekend (Gannett), Ranger Rick (National Wildlife Federation), Team Cul de Sac (Andrews McMeel), and more. Carolyn graduated with honors and earned a BFA degree in Communication Arts and Design from Virginia Commonwealth University.
