CommAI is an AI-based tool that allows users to get instant and comprehensive feedback on their public speeches. User just uploads the video recording of their performance and our system outputs structured and understandable analysis in form of intuitively understandable visualizations and graphs based on the verbal as well as non verbal parts of their performance. We analyze the tone, volume, rate of speech, complexity and level of the language used in the speech, grammatical correctness, hands activity, gaze direction, mimics, and other aspects of the speech.

HBRC is a club of robotics enthusiasts from families with middle school kids to retirees who like to experiment with all different kinds of robots. From small table top based robots to full-size humanoids, from rovers to robotic arms. We have some members who work for robotics companies but we see it as a hobby and a way to learn and educate each other. Some members have fun at competitions like RoboGames or the club also has a couple of exhibition meetings every year, where members can present their robots. HBRC is participating in the BA Maker Faire for many years (and different members in other Maker Faires as well).

Il progetto consiste in un assistente virtuale (chatbot IA) e un robot autonomo, che guida gli utenti, fornendo supporto su macchinari e processi, rendendo l'apprendimento e la sperimentazione accessibili a tutti, inclusi bambini e over 60. Il progetto iFab è in fase di prototipazione, con l'assistente virtuale già sviluppato e il robot fisico realizzato e pronto per la dimostrazione. In futuro, il progetto mira a diventare un modello replicabile per altre istituzioni educative, applicando il modello sviluppato in altri ambiti, come robotica, realtà immersiva e sicurezza informatica.

Pet robots in autism therapy for children

The use of social robots in autism therapies has shown the potential to increase engagement with pediatric patients. This project aims at using a pet robot, in particular a Loona Petbot, to increase the level of interaction between children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and the therapists. The experimental setup consists of a robot placed in front of the patient and remotely controlled by a human therapist. We have developed a methodology that allows the child’s proximity to the robot to be measured quantitatively using Computer Vision.

Zant è un framework Open Sorce AI, per l'implementazione di reti neurali profonde su dispositivi a basso consumo come i core Cortex M R e RISC-V e le schede Arduino; è scritto in Zig, un nuovo linguaggio di programmazione che è esso stesso open sorce, e presenta una sintassi simile al C con migliori capacità di meta-programmazione. Il progetto è in fase di sviluppo, ma è già in uso e su Github ha più di 280 stelle, c'è una partnership ufficiale con Arduino e con il Politecnico di Milano. Porteremo alcune schede Arduino con demo per mostrare quanto sia facile configurarle e utilizzarle nei vostri progetti.
