Epsilon Arts

Faire: Downtown Columbia

Maker: Gabrielle Dace

Home: Pennsylvania, United States of America

I create art that celebrates LGBTQIA+ pride and sparks dialogue on social and political issues through bold keychains, prints, stickers, and jewelry. My designs are fun, fierce, and unapologetically queer. At events, I bring my bearded dragons to educate people on proper reptile care—encouraging thoughtful pet ownership and raising awareness about the harms of impulse buying from big box retailers. Art meets advocacy here—and everyone, scales and all, is welcome. www.EpsilonArts.art

Solar Generator

Faire: Downtown Columbia

Maker: Unallocated Space

Home: Maryland, United States of America

I made a Solar Generator at Unallocated Maker Space. It’s a portable device that can supply 120 AC power in remote locations and or in times of Emergencies. I would like to demonstrate my project. I have no commercial interest. The system breaks down into two suitcases and a bag full of cables plus solar panels. I have spare parts and diagnostic equipment from the generator's creation to use as props for the demo along with photos of the process. (Sustainability & Green Tech) The solar generator is made with reclaimed LiFePo Cells. The cells were harvested from old packs tested for charge and discharge characteristics then rebuilt into differently configured packs. (Design and Fabrication) Raw PCBs were made from files and I populated the board by hand.

Modern Touch/Texture Duality

Faire: Downtown Columbia

Maker: BlenGdesign

Home: Maryland, United States of America

My body of work is evenly divided between digital and traditional mediums. Half of my creations begin as illustrations drawn on Procreate on the iPad, which are then professionally printed, framed or matted, and also reproduced as magnets and greeting cards. The other half consists of original, tactile pieces crafted with molding paste and acrylic paint, offering rich texture and dimensional depth. This dual approach reflects my passion for blending modern digital tools with hands-on techniques, allowing me to explore visual storytelling across a variety of forms and surfaces.

A.L.S.O. Pretty in Paint LLC

Faire: Downtown Columbia

Maker: Anastasia O’Neal

Home: District of Columbia, United States of America

Alcohol ink works like water colors where one will use isopropyl alcohol, 91%-99%, to dilute the color and then use a heat tool to create the marbling. More iso, the color can be soft and whisky, less iso and the color is more concentrated and bold. The colors can blend easily with one another, but color theory is a must. Alcohol ink can be used on any slick surface, but also on fabrics like silk or cotton.
