LYBRA: an energy harvesting device, patented in EU & USA, that reduces the speed of vehicles by converting kinetic energy, otherwise wasted by the brakes, into electrical energy
A vehicle passes over LYBRA and its momentum compresses the surface.
The vehicle undergoes higher rolling friction on the wheels, which absorbs the kinetic energy.
The compression of the LYBRA surface activates a patented generator capable of converting the absorbed energy into electrical energy.
The energy produced is stabilized and sent to a normal PV inverter for on-site self-consumption.
