Sierra College Motorsports Club is a group of students from various majors that are passionate about motorsports. Although the club has been in existence for many years as the automotive club, it has recently ventured into the realm of racing. They have been awarded the EBay Motors Heroic Fix in Dec ‘23. The Welding Club has been vital to their success and ultimately one student Erica Snow was awarded IOE award in February. They plan to race again this November at Sonoma Raceway.

1/12th Scale RC Model of P&H Crawler Crane

The presented Project is an exact 1/12th scale replication of a 1960s vintage P&H Model 1015 Crawler Mounted Lattice Boom Crane that has been scratch built and will be demonstrated at the Faire. The finished model weighs 85 pounds, is radio controlled (RC), powered by a 15,000 mah LiPo battery, has diesel sound and can be configured with either a 6 foot or 9 foot long boom.

3D Printed Clocks

3D printers are capable of producing useful objects around the house. I design 3D printed clocks with fully exposed gears and lots of dynamic motion. Classic weight driven clocks have an 8 day runtime with an accuracy of a few minutes per week. Motorized desktop clocks can have an accuracy of a minute per year. I will be sharing several 3D printed clocks from my collection.
