Wi-Fi Enabled Stratum-1 GNSS Time Server Built From Scratch

My hands-on approach to dissecting IoT from the inside led me to fulfill a long-time dream of having an on-site Stratum-1 Network Time Protocol (NTP) server. NTP is the decades-old synchronization protocol that keeps networked computer clocks accurate.
The best-case scenario for an NTP server is being fed from a Stratum-1 time source, that is, for instance, connected to the source of a VERY accurate time, usually an atomic clock (also called, Stratum-0).
A good amount of Stratum-0 time sources is constantly floating over our heads! The GPS satellites, each one carrying at least two cesium atomic clocks (accurate up to 1 second every 300 million years).
The idea of using GPS as a time source is not new, there are dozens of commercial products available doing precisely that. But my goal is to make it cheap, accurate, self-contained, dual-powered (mains and batteries), wireless-enabled, and portable to use on the field in my HAM Radio activities. Powered by the ever-expanding universe of microcontroller units, this goal is closer than ever.
Current functionalities:
- Internal RTC synched from GPS satellites constellation (backed by CR2032 battery)
- Dual voltage powered
- Backup battery for the whole unit (18650)
- NTP and RDATE (RFC868) protocols supported
- WiFi functionality as a client or access point
- Syslog logging
- Configuration webpage for WiFi and Syslog, saving to persistent storage (LittleFS)
- Informative display with a timestamp, satellites in view, accuracy, wifi server, IP address
- Dual function button, short press switch information on display, long press disables WiFi
- Status at a glance, with dedicated 5mm LEDs for GPS lock, PPS signal, and WiFi status, as well as visible internal LEDs for charging and GPS module statuses

World Skate is the global governing organization for roller sports. Always very close to innovation, world skate continuously renews the areas of interest of the sports it governs. Innovation does not only concern the already vast world of wheels but also that of multimedia competition products (esports) in which world skate is among the proudest supporters. Along with this, however, world skate promotes a combination of real sports and digital sports which is always present at its events. Both the strictly digital and traditional parts will be present at the Maker faire venue. National and international athletes will in fact perform on the Half pipe which makes up the proposal together with 8 other stands.
SMART MAINTENANCE AT HIGH ALTITUDE

Our project main goal is to maintain in a great state the wind turbine’s blades
The project is divided in four separate part:
1. verify the integrity of the external structure using a drone with a 3D scanner
2. Verify the integrity of the internal structure using a rail robot with a scanner
3. Internal cleaning of the structure is divided in two sections: for the tower a robot with magnetic tracks is used, for the blades a system with rotating brushes is used.
4. Maintenance of the surfaces with a system of smoothing and painting

Cyber Escape Room – attacco alla Nerd Corporation

Thirty minutes to infiltrate the computer system of the Nerd Corporation to prevent the evil organization from launching a cyber attack.
This is the challenge to be solved in the escape room created by the Cybersecurity National Lab of the CINI (National Interuniversity Consortium for Informatics) and the IMT School of Advanced Studies Lucca.
The objective is to raise awareness of cybersecurity and the relationship between privacy, digital and exposure to risk.
A team of volunteer hackers will be trained and sent on a mission to break into the Nerd Corporation's lair and to steal its secret plans.
It is played in teams made up of a maximum of 4 people, divided between a team on the field and a team at the terminal. The field team recovers clues and moves through the escape room while the terminal team uses computer tools to solve the challenges.
The challenge lasts 30 minutes and the complete experience takes about 45.

A real example of how, water and flour, by our POPpastella, can create and spread worldwide a simple, low-cost product, alternative to POPcorn, French fries or other street food products, currently limited to Neapolitan cuisine traditions.

The user can interact and collaborate with other users in multiplayer.
We present examples such as a playroom, meeting room, cooperative firefighter work simulation, etc.
But the system lends itself to continuously adding new environments as needed because Commigo is aimed at everyone.
With the presentation of the new VR headsets (Apple and Meta), the public's interest in this object's potential in everyday life has opened; we would like to demonstrate that the future that seems so distant is already present.
