I am an independent potter based in Northampton at the Smith College Ceramics studio. My pottery style reflects my experience growing up and learning wheel-throwing in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I will be exhibiting and selling decorative and functional vessels at the Maker Faire such as teapots, bowls, and vases.

Kristi Beisecker Studios (KBS) is a multi-service design & entertainment studio providing high quality multimedia and performances at the intersection of art and science. At the PVMF, KBS will exhibit a selection of merchandise featuring artwork that is made using organic materials that are exposed with electricity in the darkroom. This portfolio of work, called Electrography, has been exhibited 44+ times around the world at various venues such as a small gallery in Paris, FR to a group exhibition at the Smithsonian Institution Ripely Center.

I am a stained glass artist. I have been working with glass for over a decade. Working in my studio allows me to get lost in my passion to create unique pieces of art. I feel creativity is my serenity, a place to escape from my busy work week ,relax and rejuvenate . I have always been fascinated by color and texture. The combination of metal and glass and the way glass sparkles in the sunshine inspires me. I repurpose unique pieces of metal and wood to frame my glasswork. My style is strongly influenced by nature. My art consists of trees, dragonflies, flowers, ocean scenes, and sunshine.

The Connecticut River Valley Precious Plastic Community is a collective group of design labs and colleges around the Valley determined to change how we have conversations around plastic in our local communities. We are passionate about using open-sourced machines for plastic upcycling purposes. Currently, we are working to recycle PLA plastic from 3D printers to turn it back into usable 3D printer filament. Intro to Needle Felting 12:30 - 1:30 Ages 10-110! Needle felting is a craft that can be used to create 2-D or 3-D works of art with wool. Through repeatedly poking the wool with a specialized felting needle, you can attach the fibers together to create amazing things! In this workshop you will be introduced to needle felting in 2-D and 3-D to create a piece of wearable art, a 2-3 inch felted pin. Participants will receive a needle felting tool kit with a felting pad and some needles to take home for further exploration. $10 workshop fee

The FIRST robotics organization holds many robotics events and promotes not only STEM but also core values such as cooperation and outreach to the local community. At the Maker Faire, last year's robot will be on display and attendees can stop by and try it! We can also tell you about FIRST and what it is. We would like to give everyone a chance to drive it, but unlike our robot, we're human, so everyone may not get a chance to drive.

DEEP OCEAN STUDY

Our developmental cognitive neuroscience lab seeks to better understand how home environments influence the development of visual attention, executive functioning, and memory skills in early childhood by playing games while undergoing a safe brain imaging method. We examine how the home environment can impact this development in preschool and kindergarten children. We are currently recruiting four and five-year-old children to participate in our paid research study. Precious Plastic MHC is a student-led organization at Mount Holyoke College with the goal of creating a closed-loop sustainable way of recycling plastic within the Mount Holyoke campus. Given that we see so much plastic waste coming out of the dining hall, we collaborate with the Dining Commons and other parts of the campus to collect plastic trash through which we aim to create products within the maker space. We use a machine called the injection machine to melt plastic and create small-scale products that can be used by students on campus.

This is a workshop that is about using the basic elements of robotics to create new inventions, works-of-art, or whatchamacallits.
