Uncanny Glass
Maker Faire Bay Area 2026
September 25th-27th
Come watch live glass flameworking demonstrations all weekend long! We work in clear and colored borosilicate glass, making a wide variety of marbles and some small sculpture. This is an informal continuous demo where you can learn about the techniques used to work with borosilicate glass in a torch flame, ask questions, or just hang out for awhile and watch. If you are inspired to try your hand at this relatively approachable craft, learn about the several studios and makerspaces around the Bay Area that teach classes and provide access to studio facilities to pursue your own work independently.
Jesse Donaldson
Jesse has been making stuff for many years out of anything he can get his hands on -- electronics, wood, metal, leather, stone, and most recently glass. In glass, he mostly makes marbles, but enjoys small sculpture and some hollow work as well.
