Print-Pressed Fruit Art

Maker Faire Bay Area 2026

September 25th-27th

Exhibit Art & Design

A roaming mercado on wheels! Inspired by Mexican market culture and the open-source maker movement, The Fruit Stand Press is a mobile stamping station where anyone can create their own fruit-print artwork using handmade stamps and non-toxic ink pads. Designs draw from the vibrant fruits of Mexican markets, for example a mango, watermelon, tamarindo, citrus. All made by the artist herself using 3D printing. It's completely free, while supplies last, and every print made at the faire will be featured in a community art compilation on Instagram. The cart is also a conversation starter about the Open Press Project, a beautiful open-source initiative that makes the printing press accessible to everyone. Come learn, come make, come take something home.
