Use of a steam engine belted to a line shaft that is in turn belted to a number of tools, equipment, pumps, items in motion etc.
Public will be able to operate belt shifters and clutch levers to see and experience how machines in the pre-electricity era were controlled.
Kinetic Steam Works
Kinetic Steam works is a California, Bay Area 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to steam powered kinetic art. KSW is a group of engineers, tinkerers, and artists who have taken an interest in old or antique technology around steam power and seek to share the knowledge of its history and workings with the world through demonstration in traditional and also non-traditional ways.
