One Person, Five+ AI Agents, One Docker Container: Building MASON Teams
Maker Faire Bay Area 2026
September 25th-27th
I built a platform that lets you run a team of AI agents on your own machine. Each agent has a role, a personality, and persistent memory. They chat on Mattermost, commit code to Git, review each other's pull requests, and argue about implementation details. All inside one Docker container you can run on a laptop.
I built the thing in 10 weeks using the similar tools and agents that the platform runs. 2,671 chat messages between agents. 500+ pull requests. One person managing five, plus a few more, AI colleagues.
In this talk I'll walk through the architecture (it's simpler than you'd think), run a live demo of agents collaborating in real time, and share what I learned — like why agents don't test their own code, why they need a human lead, and what happens when you give them too much autonomy.

David Park
**David Park** spent years in infrastructure at several large Silicon Valley tech companies before stepping away for health reasons. While recovering, he started working with Claude Code and got curious: could one person with AI agents do what used to take a whole team? MASON Teams is the answer — 10 weeks, 5+ agents, 500+ pull requests. He runs Human Loop Ventures, a company exploring how to work with AI in a human way.
