Melty Cube is a roaming LED Art exhibit that demonstrates a "peculiar class of optical deceptions." It has won multiple blue ribbons at maker faire over the years and has some new tricks to demonstrate this year. Come find me in the Darkroom and stare into the dancing cube and take a moment to learn about lighting effects like Persistence of Vision, Stroboscopic light sources and Zoetrope Animation, all combined into one mesmerizing art piece on a stick!
Daniel Young
Daniel Young is a Maker and Artist from Portland Oregon. You can find him in workshops helping people to learn to solder, and in the darkroom demonstrating an ever evolving architecture that has created a number of spinning and blinking LED art pieces that impress and amaze. Daniel has worked on many LED and Fire Art projects that have toured festivals, maker faires and immersive installations in the Pacific Northwest and California.
