Kaiju Alotl
Maker Faire Bay Area 2026
September 25th-27th
The Kaiju Alotl Experience is a hands-on creative workshop created by Elliot Langston, a Rhode Island based sophomore in high school whose work blends crafting, storytelling, and emerging technology. Built on the idea that creativity should be accessible and experimental, the experience invites participants to design and build their own kaiju creatures using simple materials like pipe cleaners, focusing on personality and imagination over perfection. Elliot is on the spectrum and really enjoys sharing his own creative process throughout the workshop, encouraging participants to think different turning small ideas into creative kaiju monsters. In addition to crafting, the experience expands into digital creation with guided tutorials on using AI prompts to transform these handmade kaijus into animated characters. Participants learn how to describe their creatures in ways that bring them to life through motion and storytelling. By combining physical making with introductory animation techniques, the Kaiju Alotl Experience offers a fun, approachable way to explore creativity across multiple mediums.
