FTC robotics - team 18340
Maker Faire Bay Area 2026
September 25th-27th
Polaris Robotics is an FTC robotics team focused on designing, building, programming, and testing innovative robots to solve real-world challenges. Our team combines engineering, computer science, design, and teamwork to transform ideas into working solutions.
Throughout the season, students work through the complete engineering process—from brainstorming and CAD design to prototyping, programming, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Team members take on different roles while collaborating to develop a competitive robot and gain hands-on experience in mechanical engineering, electronics, software, and problem-solving.
Beyond competition, our project emphasizes Gracious Professionalism®, community outreach, STEM education, and sharing our passion for robotics with younger students and the community. We believe robotics is not just about building a robot—it is about building confidence, leadership, creativity, and the skills needed to solve tomorrow’s challenges.
