Dragon Tales: A Young Maker Tabletop Kingdom Game

Maker Faire Bay Area 2026

September 25th-27th

Friday Only Exhibit Art & Design

Dragon Tales is an original tabletop kingdom adventure game created by a young maker at age 10 and developed with friends over the past three years. Players build kingdoms, draw maps, collect dragons, complete quests, battle monsters, earn treasure, and shape their own adventures using dice, loot tables, and original game mechanics.

Visitors will play a 5–15 minute version of the game, choosing a kingdom, rolling for quests, battling monsters, discovering treasure, and experiencing the creativity behind designing a tabletop game.

The game features hand-drawn maps, original monsters, custom items, legendary Guardians that defend kingdoms, and rare world events such as the appearance of the elusive Ethereal Wym.

Rather than simply playing a game, visitors will see how imagination, storytelling, art, math, probability, and collaboration can be combined to create an original game world. The exhibit encourages children to become creators by designing their own kingdoms, creatures, magical items, and adventures.

Maker Statement:

Over the past three years, I’ve continued to develop the game, transforming my friends’ original hand-drawn artwork into colorful digital graphics. In July 2026, I began developing an app for Dragon Tales, further bringing our game world to life.
