A Disney Imagineer's Inspired Stitch Watchable: The new Tiny Animation Stage (TAS) project
Maker Faire Bay Area 2026
September 25th-27th
Disney Imagineer Terri Hardin and Silicon Valley inventor Frank Cohen created the Stitch Watchable using Tiny Interactive Stage (TAS) open-source technology—a miniature platform where characters appear, perform, respond, and feel alive on your wrist.
Blending physical craftsmanship, wearable design, storytelling, electronics, and AI prompt engineering, this project explores how fantasy can be brought into the real world through maker skills. Visitors can experience live character interactions, see how expressive collectibles are created, and learn how today’s tools allow individuals to build imaginative experiences once limited to major studios.
Family-friendly, visual, and interactive, the Stitch Watchable continues a 10-year Maker Faire tradition of turning beloved characters into living wearable art.
