Meet the Maker: Cecilia Hillway

Meet maker, illustrator, and dreamer Cecilia Hillway.
Making projects that combine art and technology, she hopes to inspire new generations. She loves working with fellow educators and teaching students, so come chat with her and ask any questions.
Cecilia has created projects for various Ed-tech companies including Make:, Chibitronics, Birdbrain Technologies, Lectrify, Pinbox 3000, Brown Dog Gadgets, and Design Spark. She has also won various Instructables prizes with her detailed behind the scenes of projects.
Cecilia Hillway
Cecilia was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico. Her love for drawing started at a young age, as did her obsession with comic books and animals. After graduating with a degree in Graphic Design, she met her husband. She moved to the US where she started a career in education that included being a Maker Space Associate and a Technology Specialist. She now lives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her husband, her cats, and a growing army of robots and illustrated characters. She has had the privilege of creating custom robotics projects for various ed-tech companies.
