I have been working in public schools, and educational institutions for 25 years presenting STEM hands-on education programs for students. I started out as an Electronics Engineer working on the design of Air Traffic Control Navigation Systems for aircraft which eventually evolved to designing interactive science & robotics workshops. How you ever wondered how Disney type animated characters and puppets were designed and made?
In this virtual tour I will show you my workspace and how I design and fabricate my own animated musical puppets from recycled parts.
Recycled parts helps to save the environment.
What inspired you to make this project?:
My hope is to entertain and educate children and adults using interactive animated characters.
Teach how RECYCLING can be used in the fabrication of interactive exhibits.
What are some of the challenges you have encountered and how did you address them?:
I had to go through many revisions and additions to the original design concept.
By trial an error the final design was what appealed to all audiences.
