Super Easy Monochromatic “Watercolor” Painting

Super Easy Monochromatic “Watercolor” Painting

Join artist Filomena Jack of Filomena Jack Studio in a super simple painting project using inexpensive supplies you probably have in your craft drawer. This project is great for kiddos and adults alike...in no time you can create one of a kind paintings with (almost) no mess or extensive supply list. Filomena will lead students through a lesson on using one color to create multiple tints and varied contrast in their paintings.

What inspired you to make this project?:
I love to doodle! I love watercolor painting! I know that watercolor is sometimes not in everyone’s craft closet, but usually folks have water based markers at home, so this project is perfect to get folks making art. Anyone can make simple marks and end up with some stunning results. Perfect for the entire family!

What are some of the challenges you have encountered and how did you address them?:
Sometimes I use too much water and the paint flows more than I’d like. I use a paper towel to make the water behave.
