Want to engage your students in rich learning experiences focused on 3D design and printing? Learn tips and tricks from our educator team!
In partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County, Watertown City School District's STEAM Team provided Tinkercad training for students in the virtual environment throughout the month of July. Effective strategies and lessons learned relating to engaging and instructing students in the virtual learning environment will be shared.
Lisa Blank
Lisa Blank, a LEAD STEM Fellow with STEM Ecosystems and regional co-chair of the North Country STEM Learning Network, serves as Director of STEM Programs for Watertown City School District in Northern New York. Lisa is passionate about increasing student achievement through educational opportunities that spark curiosity, wonder, and awe. Lisa’s prior experience as an educator of math, science, and technology in the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul and greater Boston regions has pointed out gaps in opportunities across the nation that create barriers for individuals, families, and communities. Since 2008, working to bridge these gaps, Lisa has written, coordinated, and directed multiple Department of Defense Education Activity STEM grants. In 2019, Lisa was recognized by the New York State STEM Collaborative with the Margaret Ashida Award for her district level leadership in STEM education.

Kevin Chamberlin
Kevin Chamberlin serves as 4-H After-School Coordinator at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County. He leads out-of-school programming for intermediate level students. This programming is highly appealing to students as it includes a variety of STEM and Maker activities.
Julie Williams
Julie Williams serves the WCSD STEAM Team as a STEM Camp staff member and an after school club coach/advisor. Julie infuses STEM and Maker activities in the school library at Knickerbocker Elementary. She engages in many creative maker projects both with students and on her own. She always has an eye out for creative projects to inspire and motivate!
Lisa Gamage
Lisa Gamage serves the WCSD STEAM Team as a STEM Camp staff member and an after school club coach/advisor. Lisa infuses STEM and Maker activities in the school library at Sherman Elementary. She engages in many creative maker projects both with students and on her own. She is sought after for her artistic talent and abitlies to support teachers in bringing STEM and maker activities to their students.
