Don't Blame COVID, the Fashion Industry Needed to Change for a Long Time.

Don't Blame COVID, the Fashion Industry Needed to Change for a Long Time.

The fashion industry contributes to 10% of global carbon footprint. 30% of cloth ever made are never sold. Sustainability has been a buzzword in the fashion industry for a while yet we still have these waste and pollution problems. What's worse, with the pandemic ongoing, brands struggle even more with the inventory of overproduced goods. At the same time, as manufacturing mobilizes to producing PPEs, it seems ironic that a distraction like this may be what it takes to stop mass production of unwanted goods. The pollution of our environment is one of the most urgent problems to solve after COVID-19. What are some of the solutions leveraging technologies to solve these pain points in the fashion industry once and for all?

What are the problems you aim to help solve with this project?:
The mass overproduction of unwanted goods in the fashion industry, and the lack of support for creative independent designers to make their designs into reality.
