This presentation will walk viewers through an overview of different kinds of puppets, from hand puppets to giant spectacle puppets. We’ll also explain the process of designing and fabricating puppets, including how to translate initial concepts into a fully-realized character, considerations around creating mechanisms to enable puppet movement, and why it’s necessary to build mockup puppets before starting the final versions.
