Wooden Wanderlust Map

Virtually Maker Faire 2020

May 22nd-23rd

Exhibit

My wife and I wanted some art that would be personal and capture our travels in life. I could have purchased stickers of continents to stick on our mirror, but we wanted something DIY. I found free vector files of the world continents and used my Maslow CNC to cut out the outlines from 1/4" plywood. The continents got glued to a big mirror over our fireplace. I then printed out mini map markers on my resin printer and glued them to the countries we've travelled to. I did this during the COVID-19 shelter in place. This would have taken me forever any other time.
