Nathan Parker
Following a passion for applying creative problem solving and modeling complex systems through a number of different careers, I've worked as a primary care provider, software and hardware product manager, an event operations lead, project manager for large scale interactive art installations, and a startup founder focused on bringing together the global Maker movement into a coherent, self-sustaining ecosystem. We live in an age of unprecedented upheaval and looming crises, and I believe that any meaningful attempt to live and work and thrive in the world now must do so in relation to and with awareness of these facts. Business as usual got us here and it won't be what gets us out. As such, I'm focusing on developing distributed resiliency in decentralized networks of makers and innovators, where makerspaces can become the nodes in a globally distributed autonomous organization.
