Hellgate Farm
Hellgate Farm is a network of residential and rooftop gardens in Queens, NYC. We wish to promote urban gardening and a permaculture lifestyle within our community, providing opportunities for people interested in these practices to connect and learn.
Sat: Learn about simple urban farming infrastructure practices such as building sub-irrigated planters and how lasagna gardening can tap into the organic urban waste stream.
Sun: Learn about seed germination and take home a living seed necklace!
What inspired you to make this project?:
All of our projects at Hellgate Farm come from our passion for sustainable urban agriculture and permaculture, and our desire to share our knowledge and support the growth of our local urban farming community.
