I have been the Regional Director for Magic Wheelchair since 2017, during which time I have had the privilege of working for and with some amazing people. Making incredible, epic Magic Wheelchair Costumes is the best thing I've ever done.
Children in wheelchairs are marginalized. We pair a kiddo with a build team and turn the child's wheelchair into an incredible, epic costume. The child experiences what it's like to be seen as simply a child in a cool costume.
What inspired you to make this project?:
I lost my brother to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy many years ago. The work I do Magic Wheelchair is the best way I can think of to honor his memory.
