Introduction to the Chibi Chip, Storytelling, and Local Data Mapping with Paper Circuitry

Join Jie Qi from Chibitronics, David Cole and Elisabeth Sylvan from NEXMAP, and Ryan Jenkins from Wonderful Idea Company for an energizing workshop exploring the expressive possibilities for the telling local data stories with circuitry, craft, and code. Part of NEXMAP’s collaboration with Chibitronics and WICO on Open Data/Open Minds, the presenters will share paper circuitry templates designed to get you up and running with and introductory coding and design experience using Chibitronics’ remarkable microcontroller board, the Chibi Chip.

For this special 2018 Bay Area Maker Faire workshop Chibitronics will provide a Love to Code Chibi Chip Starter Kit for each participant. We invite registrants to join a distributed PLC (professional learning community) following Maker Faire with a pair of follow-on Zoom meetups - back-to-school and once more in the fall - so we can learn from one another as we integrate these materials into our programs, practices and instruction.

FREE with admission to Maker Faire! REGISTER FOR YOUR SPACE HERE: https://chibi-chip-mfba18.eventbrite.com.
