Bob has been building electric vehicles for over 40 years. His creations include the Chariot, Solar Surrey, Thewawfulus ('the Awful-est', a moderately succceful robot pony, and a variety of electric motorcycles and electric race cars.
Hand-built from scratch in a garage, these electrically driven mechanical marvels are the culmination of decades of fascination with natural motion walking robots. Their sole purpose: to make you smile.
What inspired you to make this project?:
Solar electric vehicles are the way forward - and we've all been walking places for thousands of years. Combining the two yields a fascinating motion that delights onlookers.
