The Yolo Maker Group is a gathering of people who enjoy building things, based in Yolo County CA. Our interests range from electronic projects to metal to wood working. We enjoy learning and trying new ways to create and build
We are a group of people who enjoy building things!
Our projects include remote bots, sculptures, wooden play structures, a rideable ice cream cone and 3D printed items.
We work with tech and materials from computers to wood hand tools
What inspired you to make this project?:
Previous visits to the Maker Faire and watching the fun people had with moving vehicles and artwork all inspired us to get involved. The CopperBot project is a platform to explore the Raspberry Pi, Arduino, LED lights, sculpture, remote control as well as use up a few large radio tubes. Our ice cream cone was inspired by the mobile cup cakes from the Maker Faire. We've been inspired by the combination of technology and whimsy, and enjoy playing and creating.
