Miss Sarah Roman has been teaching AP Literature and Junior Honors British Literature at Raritan High School in Hazlet, New Jersey for the past five years. She is a self-taught tech hobbyist who brings her passion into the classroom and has been traveling around the country to colleges and universities, school districts, and maker events to share her creativity and work.

Learn about how microcomputers and microcontrollers are being used in literature classes in order to teach grammar through coding, to bring older texts to life, and to finally marry the literary and the device.
What inspired you to begin investigating your topic or inspired you to make your project?:
I've thoroughly loved reading from a young age, and it seemed natural to want to spend my life discussing, learning, reading, and teaching about literature. It's an added bonus that I get to now tinker and build within my classroom. Bringing my hobbies and interests into the classroom have changed my life and the lives of my students for the more interesting and more exciting.
