Bob Bland is the CEO + Founder of Manufacture New York (MNY), a social enterprise that is rethinking the Made In USA fashion ecosystem (design, development, distribution) and creating a new, vertically-integrated business model that is transforming apparel & textile production for the 21st century.
Maddy Maxey builds prototypes, writes code and generally experiments at the intersection of design and technology. She focuses on smart fabric and creative technology, especially related to smart apparel and computational design. Maddy is CEO and Founder at Loomia.
Nica is a natural dyer, educator and textile artist. Her practice focuses on revitalizing local supply chains. By emphasizing the process and craft through materiality Nica aims to support fiber farmers through community-supported textile projects. She is a Founder of Artifact Textiles and the Manufacture Foundation.
Ali Schachtschneider is an artist and designer interested in the body’s interaction with technology, which she explores through the growth of biomaterials. She uses tools from a variety of disciplines, including fashion, performance and biology to extend the body. She is a resident at Genspace.
