As robots swiftly transition from appliances into collaborators, engineers will need to design them with human interaction in mind. Acclaimed roboticist Ben Hylak will explain the process of making collaborative robots from both personal experience and cutting edge research.
Benjamin Hylak is an award-winning Maker, acclaimed roboticist and Intel Tomorrow Project author. Ben is the creator of MAYA, a telepresence robot for the elderly, which earned world recognition and a trip to the White House, and ALAIR, a budget assisted living robot. After an internship with a prominent aerospace company, Ben is back to researching collaborative robots at WPI's RAIL Lab.
