Katy Jeremko is co-founder and design engineer at re:3D, maker and manufacturer of the world's first affordable toilet-sized 3D printer — Gigabot. Katy is an advocate for Open-Source hardware, software, and the democratization of design. Previously, Katy has served as Designer in Residence for Open NASA. Katy holds a Bachelors of Industrial and Interaction Design from Syracuse University.
Toilet-sized 3D printing is a little different than desktop 3D printing. We'll sketch out design parameters for large format 3D printing, what to look for in other designs, and how to think like a rep-rap forum frequenter.
