Directions to McCormick Parking LOT A

Lot A (8′ height clearance) is a six level garage with 2,100 parking spaces located on Martin Luther King Drive, adjacent to the West Building. Covered walkways from Lot A leading directly into McCormick Place and the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Hotel also provide added convenience. The parking rate is $21 for up to 16 hours and $34 from 16 to 24 hours. There are no in-and-out privileges. Overnight parking is available in Lot A only. Lost tickets will pay the $34 (overnight) fee per day.

  • From O’Hare International Airport (22 Miles), Northwest Or The North:
    Follow I-190 East to I-90 East. This turns into I-90/94 East (Dan Ryan Expressway). Keeping to the right, follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway). Exit at Martin L. King Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.

  • From The West:
    Take I-290 East (Eisenhower Expressway) to I-94 East (Dan Ryan Expressway). Keeping to the right, follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway). Exit at Martin L. King Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.

  • From Midway Airport (10 Miles) Or Southwest:
    Take I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway). Exit at Martin L. King Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.

  • From The South Or Indiana Via I-80/94:
    From I-80/94, exit at I-94 West (Bishop Ford Expressway) and proceed on I-94 West (Dan Ryan Expressway). Follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway). Exit at Martin L. King Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.

  • From Indiana-Skyway:
    Take I-90 West (Indiana Tollway turns into the Chicago Skyway). Merge onto I-90/94 West (Dan Ryan Expressway). Exit at I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway). Exit at Martin L. King Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.

  • From North Lake Shore Drive (US-41):
    From Lake Shore Drive, exit at 31st Street and turn right (West). Turn right again on Martin L. King Drive. Turn left on 24th Place. Follow signs to Lot A.

  • From South Lake Shore Drive (US-41):
    From Lake Shore Drive, exit at 31st Sreet. and turn left (West). Turn right on Martin L. King Drive. Turn left on 24th Place. Follow signs to Lot A.

  • From Congress Parkway:
    From Congress Parkway, turn right onto Michigan Avenue Proceed south to Cermak Road. (E. 22nd Street). Turn left on Cermak Road, to Martin Luther King Drive. Follow signs to Lot A.

Directions to McCormick Parking LOT B

Lot B (also known as 31st Street Lot) is an outdoor surface parking lot located at 31st Street near Lake Shore Drive South and Moe Drive. It holds over 1,800 vehicles. The parking rate is a flat fee of $14 per day with no in-and-out privileges. This parking lot is open throughout event hours. Overnight parking is not available.

  • From Downtown Chicago:
    Proceed South on Lake Shore Drive, and exit at 31st Street. Make a right turn at the light. Make another immediate hard right turn onto Moe Drive (the McCormick Place service drive that is West of Lake Shore Drive). Proceed North on Moe Drive, to the parking attendant booths on the left side of the service drive.

  • From I-55 (Stevenson) Expressway:
    Proceed South on Lake Shore Drive, and exit at 31st Street. Make a right turn at the light. Make another immediate hard right turn onto Moe Drive (the McCormick Place service drive that is West of Lake Shore Drive). Proceed North on Moe Drive, to the parking attendant booths on the left side of the service drive.

  • From I-90/94 (Kennedy/Edens) Expressway:
    Proceed South on I-90/94 to I-55 (Stevenson Expressway). Proceed East on I-55 to Lake Shore Drive. Proceed South on Lake Shore Drive, and exit at 31st Street. Make a right turn at the light. Make another immediate hard right turn onto Moe Drive (the McCormick Place service drive that is West of Lake Shore Drive). Proceed North on Moe Drive, to the parking attendant booths on the left side of the service drive.

  • From I-290 (Eisenhower) Expressway:
    Proceed East on Congress Parkway to Columbus Drive. Proceed South on Columbus Drive, which will merge into Lake Shore Drive. Proceed South on Lake Shore Drive, and exit at 31st Street. Make a right turn at the light. Make another immediate hard right turn onto Moe Drive (the McCormick Place service drive that is West of Lake Shore Drive). Proceed North on Moe Drive, to the parking attendant booths on the left side of the service drive.

  • From Northbound Lake Shore Drive:
    Exit at 31st Street and make a left turn at the traffic light. Proceed and go to the next traffic light. Make an immediate hard right turn onto Moe Drive (the McCormick Place service drive that is West of Lake Shore Drive). Proceed North on Moe Drive, to the parking attendant booths on the left side of the service drive.

  • From 31st Street:
    Proceed East on 31st Street to Moe Drive, that is the McCormick Place service drive immediately West of the 31st Street exit on Lake Shore Drive. Proceed North on Moe Drive, to the parking attendant booths on the left side of the service drive.


Directions to McCormick Parking LOT C

Lot C (6’4″ height clearance) is an underground garage with 1,900 parking spaces and is located on Ft. Dearborn Drive, adjacent to the Lakeside Center. The parking rate is a flat fee of $21 per day with no in-and-out privileges. This parking lot is open throughout event hours. Overnight parking is not available.

Once you’ve arrived in Lot C, you will need to make your way through Lakeside Center toward the North and South buildings. You will cross over the skyway bridge that takes you across Lake Shore Drive. Once you’ve crossed through the Grand Concourse in the North and South Buildings, you will take two escalators down to ground level near the information desk. You will then take an escalator back up, cross the second skyway bridge, which will put you in the West Building.

  • From O’Hare International Airport (22 miles), Northwest or the North:
    Follow I-190 East to I-90 East. This turns into I-90/94 East (Dan Ryan Expressway). Keeping to the right, follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway) onto US-41 South (Lake Shore Drive). Exit at 31st St. and turn left over the Lake Shore Dr. Bridge to Ft. Dearborn Drive. Turn left and follow signs to Lot C.

  • From the West:
    Take I-290 East (Eisenhower Expressway) to I-94 East (Dan Ryan Expressway). Keeping to the right, follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway) onto US-41 South (Lake Shore Drive).   • From Congress Parkway:
    From Congress Parkway, turn right onto Columbus Drive (South). Merge with US-41 South (Lake Shore Drive). Exit at 31st St. Turn left over the Lake Shore Dr. bridge to Ft. Dearborn Drive. Turn left again and follow signs to Lot C.

More than 5,800 city taxis are at your service in Chicago. Facility direction signs and personnel at the Concierge Desk will direct attendees to gates that are designated for your event. To calculate your taxi fare, check out TaxiFareFinder.com. Tell the cab driver you are traveling to McCormick Place and you’d like to be dropped off at Gate 4 (off of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive).


BY TRAIN:

  • Amtrak – is located in Union Station between Jackson and Adams on Canal.

  • METRA – has four major downtown terminals: LaSalle Street, Randolph Street, Ogilvie and Union Stations.
    METRA services the Midwest as far north as Kenosha, Wisconsin; northwest to Fox Lake and Harvard; west to Elgin, Geneva and Aurora; southwest to Joliet and Orland Park; south to University Park; and east to South Bend, Indiana. METRA provides direct service within seven minutes to and from downtown Chicago to McCormick Place (download the schedule and ticket fares). Service from the Randolph Station (nearby the Fairmont Hotel) to McCormick Place begins early morning, with more frequent pick-ups during rush hours. AIRPORT SERVICES:

  • O’Hare International Airport (773-686-2200) handles more passengers than any other airport in the world. For visitors needing information or directions, airport information booths are located on the lower levels of the domestic terminals and on the upper and lower levels of the International Terminal. A foreign currency exchange is located on the lower level of the International Terminal. It’s 13 miles from O’Hare to downtown. During rush-hour it can take about an hour. During the middle of the day and evenings it takes around 30 minutes. Taking a taxi to/from the airport varies depending on travel time from $30-50 from O’Hare.

    The CTA Blue Line (‘L’) provides 24-hour rapid transit service between Chicago-O’Hare International Airport and the Forest Park terminal, via downtown Chicago. A single-ride from O’Hare to downtown Chicago costs $2.25. Visit CTA’s website for more information on fares and the Chicago Card.

  • Midway Airport (773.838.0600) is located at 5700 South Cicero Avenue and is conveniently located 10 miles from downtown Chicago. Midway’s one terminal building has three concourses – A, B and C.Airport information booths are located in the ticketing lobby, baggage claim and the concessions food court. Midway has two primary parking lots: Terminal Garage (with daily and hourly parking) located adjacent to the terminal building and Economy Parking located along 55 Street. There is a complimentary shuttle between the economy parking lots and the terminal building every 15 minutes. Travel between Midway and downtown Chicago is normally 20 minutes but during rush-hour periods, travel times may increase to 45 minutes. The airport is served by the CTA Orange Line train which is a 25 minute trip from downtown. All vehicle pick-up services are available on the lower level roadway. Taking a taxi between Midway and downtown is approximately $28-$32.
