Kosmophone: Music from the Spheres

Jerry is founder of the Acme Electric Robot Company in Austin. He builds music recording equipment and teaches at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. His Kosmophone is a gamma-ray spectrometer operating in the range of about 3 to 7 million electron-volts (MeV) controlling a MIDI music synthesizer.

Born in Los Angeles 1942 and started playing with electronics as soon as I was able to lift a wire. Studied physics at UCSB but ran screaming away when it became apparent the majority of job opportunities invole making bombs. Served as chief engineer of KPFT in Houston during the era the KKK expressed themselves by dynamiting radio transmitters. Moved to Austin and formed AERCO, Acme Electric Robot Company and still build music recording equipment. Currently a TA at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
