Magnetic Mini-Submersible

This magnetic mini-submersible can be moved around inside a small container using externally generated magnetic fields. The mini-submersible can commanded to move in any direction in three dimensions using push-buttons. It can also be controlled with computer software.

About the Maker(s)

Juan Carlos Orozco Juan Carlos Orozco founded ACELAB in Mexico in 1992 and expanded operations to the United States in 2005. As ACELAB's director, he has been responsible for the design and supervision of more than one hundred industrial automation projects. An accomplished electrical engineer, he holds one patent with two others pending, and he has taught at the university level and delivered talks on Linux's use in automation. He contributes code to the MatPLC (mat.sf.net) Open Source project.
