About the Maker(s)

I-Wei Huang

Artist and Animator by trade, I-Wei Huang has always been intrigued by science and art. After searching for R/C steam robots and vehicles, he soon discovered that no one had attempted real Steampunk machines before. With no machining or engineering skills, I-Wei hacks bits and pieces together to create unique steam powered machines. After being on NBC's TechNow show, Make Magazine, R/C Driver Magazine, Wired.com, Craftsmanship Museum, and taking home 2 Gold medals at RoboGames 2006 (Best of Show, Kinetic Artbot) I-Wei is still fulfilling his need to create whimsical steam powered machines.
