Gannes was the founder of Books That Work, an innovative and award-winning "how-to" software publisher that helped consumers visualize and design everything from decks and landscapes to kitchens and baths. As a journalist he was a reporter, writer and editor at Time-Life Books, Discover and Fortune Magazines.
