Transport yourself in lace and time by making lace from long ago. Bobbin lace, a form of weaving, dates back to about 1350, while tatting, tying knots with shuttle and thread, goes back to Colonial times.

About the Maker(s)

Michelle Kee Austin Lacemakers Guild
Austin Lacemakers Guild is a chartered organization of The International Old Lacers, Inc. We have been active in the Austin area since 1984. We meet the first Tuesday of every month at St. John's Episcopal Church in Austin. Membership is $15 a year and we teach new members lacemaking. At least once a year we have a lace teacher from either the US or Europe come to teach us one of the many different styles of lacemaking.
