Chris Farris and Artemisia Farris use video and Super 8 film to create stop motion animation, as well as creating a piece with visitors willing to have their single frame portrait taken and added to a film representing our time shared at the Maker Faire.
Chris Farris is a conceptual artist who uses sculpture, photographs, interventions and small events to express his art and reflect emotion, community of interdependence, and a life/art interface. Chris grew up on the Winter's Ranch in Dayton, Nevada, which had a profound effect on his approach to artmaking and nature. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1996.
