Maker Faire New York 2010

ChemHacker Open Source Scanning Tunneling Microscope (STM)

Location: Inside NYSCI

Design and build of an arduino-controlled, affordable scanning tunneling microscope (STM) – a device potentially capable of resolving individual atoms (realistically nanometer resolution) - with the intention of releasing the design and software as open source. The goal of this project is to address affordability, accessibility, and availability of STM machines.
