Nancy Nishihira is an Okinawan-Pirate-American singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist and multimedia artist based in Metro Detroit.
Her debut album, ‘a single breath’ was originally released in 2001 and was digitally re-released in 2006. She is sort of working on her second independent album.
Not recently, Nishihira was seen performing at the first annual Rock and Rose Fashion Show in 2009, which was held to raise breast cancer awareness in the Asian-American community.
Most recently, Nishihira was seen partying with her new indie band, The Grimps, and playing Rock Band on expert.
In addition to her musical endeavors, Nishihira is also a multimedia artist, decently skilled in painting, illustration, graphic design and photography. She has folded a thousand origami cranes, is bilingual in Japanese and enjoys drinking bubble tea at 2 AM.
